Microblading

MICROBLADING

Microblading is a Semi Permanent Makeup technique in which a small handheld tool, made of several tiny needles, is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin. Microblading differs from standard eyebrow tattooing, a form of permanent makeup, as each hair stroke is created by hand with a blade that creates fine slices in the skin, whereas eyebrow tattoos are done with a tattoo machine. Microblading is used on eyebrows to create, enhance, or reshape their appearance in shape and color. It deposits pigment into the upper region of the dermis, so it fades more rapidly than traditional tattooing techniques. Microblading is also sometimes called embroidery, feather touch, micro stroking, 3D eyebrow embroidery, or hair-like strokes.

Microshading

Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent makeup. Essentially, it is a cosmetic tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, improving the shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness. Results may vary person to person. Generally, lip blushing can last a year or two.

What to avoid before the procedure

You should avoid aspirin and ibuprofen since they can thin the blood and cause more sensitivity as well as bleeding. Also avoid caffeine, alcohol, fish oil and vitamin E as these also tend to cause more bleeding 24-48 hours prior to the procedure day.

After care (what to expect)

Lips may feel very dry and swollen after, depends on person to person. Ice is nice! Ice 10 minutes a few times a day for the first few days. You should keep lips moisturized by applying Aquaphor, burts bees wax or Shea butter on lips 2-3 times a day. Do not rub into the lips just tap by using a Q-tip. It’s important this be done for about 7-10 days post session. Do not allow lips to become dry. This may interfere with healed color. Always use a clean Q-tip. It is advised to sleep on an old pillowcase. There may be some residual pigment coming off the lips for several days, which could stain. After lips are no longer tender to the touch they may become flaky. This stage is normal and can be expected. Please do not pick or scratch at them. This may significantly reduce the amount of pigment uptake. Please avoid the sun and tanning beds before and after the procedure. Be sure to use sun block once lips are healed. Avoid direct water pressure, pools and other bodies of water, until healed. Please be advised it is a good idea to brush your teeth with just water for three days after session. You can resume wearing lipstick once lips are healed. It is advised to use new lipstick after all lip sessions. Redness, swelling, tenderness, dryness are all common post session side effects and will dissipate in a short period of time. Avoid oily, salty, acidic foods and alcohol while healing.

Lips especially are very unpredictable. Some clients will have a very strong uptake in healed color and others a very slight uptake.

Fever Blisters are a known side effect of all lip procedures. Follow all before instructions and it is less likely to become an issue.
